About me

Hi! I’m a software engineer, lately focused on image processing, 3D geometry, rendering, and collision tests. My primary coding language is C++, and I have some experience with Python, OpenGL, GLSL, and SQL. My toolkit includes libraries like Eigen, OpenCV, GoogleTest, Qt, Intel TBB or OpenMP.

I live in Brno, Czechia (a nice city with nice surroundings). Professionally I’m a part of the software development team at TESCAN, a company that develops and produces electron microscopes.

My hobbies vary widely, including hiking, cycling, sometimes photography, occasional tinkering with Linux, and sometimes even my job. Sometimes I just spent too much free time playing World of Tanks (hey, everyone needs a little downtime!).

If you want to contact me, there are links to LinkedIn or email, in the bottom left corner.

Have a nice day!

About website

This site serves as a repository for my side projects and tutorials that don’t quite fit on GitHub. Sometimes, writing a tutorial helps solidify my own learning. They are also handy if harddrive with Linux fails, or I return to some project after two years.

This site covers a wide spectrum of topics, from documenting server setup to creative endeavors in noctilucent cloud time-lapses and nighttime photography, and even explorations into the practical uses of slide rules. This eclectic mix reflects my wide-ranging technical interests and hopefully offers something unique for everyone.

A further plan is to add some articles about software development, testing, and profiling. Then to resurrect and complete old articles about Arduino. Actually, there’s no exact plan, and possibilities are endless.

Many articles are significantly refined with the assistance of ChatGPT4 (rarely Claude Sonnet), which sometimes offers insightful conversations.
